Our history
The firm was founded in the late 1960s trading under the name of R. Anthony Cleaver and in the early 1970s moved to our Alfreton office premises and became known as R. Anthony Cleaver Thompson & Co. An office was opened at Clay Cross in the early 1980s followed by offices in Matlock, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield. The firm was later consolidated to the Alfreton and Clay Cross offices. The firm became known as Cleaver Thompson in 1987 and converted to limited status to become Cleaver Thompson Limited incorporated on 05 September 2003. We are fully authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (388160).
